COLLIN COUNTY (1080 KRLD)- Several Collin County Elementary school staff members were taken to the hospital after a gas leak Wednesday.
The Community School District says there was a gas leak at a building near NeSmith Elementary School in Lavon that was undergoing renovations.
Crews got the gas capped quickly and started testing the school. No gas was detected, but several staff members asked to be taken to the hospital.
The district says a few students also reported effects from the leak. The district reached out to their parents and told them they could get them from school early.
