All the people and one very frightened kitty are okay after a fire at their Fort Worth apartment complex over the weekend.
The 911 calls started coming in Saturday evening, sending fire crews to a complex on Las Vegas Trail just south of I-30. They saw the fire on the second floor as soon as they pulled into the parking lot.
Some of the firefighters immediately pulled hoses and started pouring on the water while some of their colleagues rushed inside to make sure everyone was out.
During their search, they found a small kitten and carried him out, reuniting him with his very relieved owner.
Firefighters made short work of the fire, dousing it in about 15 minutes. Sixteen people, including five kids, were displaced. They're getting help from the Red Cross.
