The bad roads throughout North Texas have ground downtown areas to a screeching halt.
Even for a city as small as Decatur, the downtown area would normally be bustling with people on a Thursday afternoon - but not today.

With road conditions as treacherous as they are, the downtown courthouse and all surrounding businesses are closed.
Except one.
Rooster's Roadhouse is the one and only business that's opened its doors this afternoon.
"Because of everything being closed, we wanted to be open so that somebody could have a place to come and eat," says Olivia Guzman, a bartender at Rooster's Roadhouse.
With the restaurant being the only establishment open, Guzman says business has been steady throughout the day.
"We've actually been doing pretty good from what I hear from our manager, that our numbers have been pretty good," says Guzman.
Most of the restaurant's customers today live not too far from Courthouse Square, with slick roads making for a treacherous drive.
Guzman says her drive into work wasn't too bad.
"There were slick spots, but nothing too dangerous," she says.
One of Guzman's customers, Robert, says you simply need to be very cautious, should you need to drive in conditions like these.
"You just got to get out there and be careful," Robert says. "Don't act stupid; just be careful and you'll be okay."
