Some tickets to the State Fair of Texas go on sale today

DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- The State Fair of Texas is offering a variety of ticket options this year that will allow families on a budget to enjoy the Fair.

In less than 50 days, the State Fair of Texas will open in person. The Fair is back after its closure in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year, the fair is offering lots of discounts to help families enjoy. Season passes for the Fair go on sale today at BigTex.com. Season passes are $50 and include one single-day pass for a friend.

A one-day pass to attend the fair any Monday thru Friday is a great deal, at just $15 dollars. For kids and senior citizens that price drops to 10 bucks.

Seniors can do better on Thursdays, when they'll pay just $5 dollars to get in.
Additionally, if you bring 5 canned food items to donate any Wednesday, your fair admission drops to 5 bucks. All food donations will go to the North Texas Food Bank.

You can save even more if you have any old food or ride coupons from previous fairs, those coupons are still valid. The State Fair of Texas opens September 24 and runs thru October 17th.
