Southern Baptists of Texas Convention on standby for hurricane relief

Disaster Volunteers with the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention are on standby to help with hurricane relief.

A spokesperson for the group says they've got a feeding unit they'll take to Baton Rouge ahead of the storm. That unit is capable of preparing 10,000 meals a day.

The Southern Baptists of Texas Convention is made up of more than 2,600 churches and has more than 6,000 trained volunteers.
