A Southlake woman will collect $450,000 in a revenge porn lawsuit after the suspect sent sexually explicit pictures to the victim's mother.
Court records show 40-year-old Sadaf Khan, who now lives in Southlake, sued a man she said distributed revenge porn after she rejected his marriage proposal.
In her lawsuit, Kahn claimed a man named Syed Bilal romantically pursued her in 2020, and shortly thereafter asked her to marry him. When she later rebuffed him, he responded by hacking into her phone and stealing sexually explicit material.
Kahn claimed the man then sent the images to her mother. Bilal then told friends and family the two were already married and that Khan had cheated on him.
A Dallas County jury unanimously voted to award Khan $150,000 for mental anguish and $300,000 for punitive damages.
