Southwest Airlines is close to a new contract with one of its employees' unions.
Flight attendants for Dallas-based Southwest Airlines have been working without a contract for several years and they have been using federal mediators to try to hammer out their differences.
Now, the Transport Workers Union Local 556, which represents over 15,000 flight attendants, says its executive committee has given its tentative approval to a new deal.
The proposed contract will go to the flight attendants for a vote in November.
