North Texas sports fans will enjoy a new exhibit at the George W. Bush Presidential Center on the SMU campus.
The presidential center is featuring historic moments in sports history both during and outside of the Bush Administration.
One of the featured moments is when the former president, who now calls Dallas home, threw out a first pitch in New York in the days after 9/11.
Curator Lindsey Richardson says you'll hear his story.
"Talking about what it was like to go to that stadium, to go with all of the security, to go into practice and to talk to Derek Jeter about what kind of pitch he should throw," Richardson said.
Right now, the Dallas Cowboys are on display at the exhibit featuring Troy Aikman's jersey and Michael Irvin's shoes as well as the rings from the 1990s.
"For those who have been Cowboys fans for a lot longer, they may be interested in seeing John Meredith's jersey or some of Tom Landry's hand-written play cards," Richardson said.
The Cowboys memorabilia is temporary and will be replaced next month with artifacts from the Dallas Mavericks.
