DeSoto residents returned to their homes Friday night after an hours-long evacuation due to a tanker truck carrying diesel caught fire, officials say.
The fire happened at the intersection of Parkerville and Cockrell Hill roads, which was closed for several hours while crews cleaned up the fuel, a DeSoto spokesperson said.
All hazards were mitigated by 7:20 p.m. Friday, the city said.
