Tarrant County Sheriff's Deputy Brent Brown was released from the hospital Friday morning following surgery after a shooting during an attempted robbery left him injured last week.

The Fort Worth Police Department along with the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office released the surveillance camera footage of the shooting that injured the off-duty sheriff's deputy last week during what they say was an attempted robbery.

Tarrant County Commissioner Manny Ramirez -- who was a Fort Worth police officer before entering politics -- was furious to learn a $100,000 bond was set for the man jailed in Monday's shooting of a Tarrant County Sheriff's deputy.

Ramirez cited the Tarrant County Jail inmate page for Leland Williams which said that bond was established for Williams after he was jailed Monday on a charge of Capital Murder of a Police Officer.

Later Tuesday, Williams' bond was listed at $1 million.

On his Twitter account, Ramirez writes: "100k bond for Attempted Capital Murder of a Police Officer? We have a @tarrantcountyso deputy shot twice and in the hospital and the criminal will only need $10,000 to get out of jail? Absolutely Ridiculous. There should be No Bond for this felon."

Ramirez referred to the requirement that someone accused of a crime needs to put down just 10% of the bond amount to be released from custody.

Williams was arrested by Fort Worth police Monday shortly after Deputy Brent Brown was wounded in a shooting a Fort Worth Community Credit Union branch in east Fort Worth.

Initial reports from law enforcement officials indicated the suspect pulled a gun on the bank teller, but the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday afternoon it "Can't confirm the suspect pulled his gun on the teller at this time."

Surgery was required and Sheriff Bill Weybourn said Brown was expected to recover.
