
With Summer temperatures upon us, an annual Summer scourge is appearing in Tarrant County where the Public Health Department is confirming its first positive test for the West Nile Virus this year.
Officials say the mosquito sample was collected in Bedford.
The arrival of West Nile is about on schedule. The season generally begins in April and last year, the first confirmed test came on April 21st.
Mosquito bites are the most common means of West Nile Virus transmission.
