One Tarrant County commissioner has had it with an adult nightclub near Aledo that has been tied to a recent sting of crimes, and he's apparently not alone.

Temptations Cabaret located along I-30 just east of the I-20 split has been a thorn in many residents and politician's side for many years.

"For years, the Temptations adult club in unincorporated Tarrant County has been a hotbed of crime, including (but not limited to) murder, assault with a deadly weapon, shootings, stabbings, drug use, theft, and disorderly conduct," the lawsuit opens by saying. "This repeated conduct is a common nuisance that wreaks havoc on the community near the club and strains the resources of law enforcement and first responders."

In the suit, the state notes that from 2020 through the end of last year, the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office responded to 247 calls for service from that strip club, making 57 arrests in the process.

Crime has persisted through the first five months of this year.

"In May, there have been a double stabbing and multiple shootings, with the most recent shooting occurring over Memorial Day weekend," the lawsuit states. "In May 2023 alone, there have been at least five instances of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon."

Over the weekend, Tarrant County Precinct 4 Commissioner Manny Ramirez repeated his call for Temptations to be shut down, following the shooting there over the Memorial Day holiday.

"We have had so many residents from the area that have been inundated with crime that emanates from this business at all hours" said Remierz.

Ramirez said he is now asking the county administrator and Tarrant County District Attorney to do everything they possibly can to shut the business down, once and for all.

KRLD News has reached out to the business and it's owners for comment; it has no social media presence, has no functioning website, and phone calls go straight to a voicemail box that's full.
