A Tarrant County man is in the hospital with a knife wound that police believe is self-inflicted. Meanwhile, Thomas Simpkins' wife was found stabbed to death at their Blue Mound home on Sunday.
Reports say somebody called the police, worried about the couple who are 69 and 66-years-old.
When officers arrived, they found Simpkins bleeding on the kitchen floor.
While he was being treated, police searched the home and found his wife dead on the bedroom floor from multiple stab wounds.
Simpkins is being treated in the hospital but as soon as the doctors release him, he will be taken to jail on a murder charge.
