The Ellis County Sheriff's Department announced Wednesday afternoon a 16-year-old discovered the bodies of his parents in their home that morning.
The teen's grandmother lived nearby and called 9-1-1 after the teen went to her home in Midlothian and told her he found his parents dead. Deputies went to the home on Baucum Street and said both had apparently been shot, and they're investigating their deaths as a possible murder-suicide. No word yet on a motive.
