A would-be robbery ended in tragedy last night in Fort Worth when a teenager was fatally shot.
The incident occurred just before nine on Saint Martin Road in far southwest Fort Worth. Police responding to gunfire found a teenager severely wounded at the scene. The teenager was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
According to police, a man at the scene reported that the teenager attempted to rob him at gunpoint. During the struggle over the weapon, the teenager was shot.
The man is cooperating with the investigation, and no arrests have been made. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
