A couple of Dallas pro golfers ended up in the Top Ten on the Masters' leaderboard following Sunday's final round.

The 87th Masters was won by Spaniard Jon Rahm who won his first Green Jacket with a three-under 69 to put him 12 under par for the tournament.

Dallas Jesuit product Jordan Spieth, the 2015 Masters winner, finished in a fourth-place tie, five off the pace.

Dallas resident Scottie Scheffler, the defending Masters champ, ended up tied for tenth at four under, eight off the pace.

The real sensation of this year's Masters is Sam Bennett, who is still a student at Texas A&M and who competed as an amateur. On Sunday, Bennett carded a 74 to put him two-under for the tournament, the lowest score among the amateurs.

Strolling to make his final putt on 18 Sunday, Bennett doffed his cap to acknowledge the standing ovation among the gallery lining the green.

Bennett is due back in College Station tonight with his flight landing at Easterwood Airport about 10:30 p.m. Texas time. A large contingent of Aggieland is expected to be there to welcome him home.
