A Texas man wanted on child sexual assault charges was arrested in North Carolina.
Police records show Brayan Robles, who is charged with statutory rape of a child in Fort Worth, was apprehended by a regional fugitive task force on Wednesday.
Officials announced that they had tracked down and arrested Robles in Gastonia, North Carolina, crediting federal partners with helping close in on the fugitive.
"This arrest highlights the strength of our partnerships and the critical role collaboration plays in keeping our community safe" said Gastonia Police in a social media post. "By working together across agencies and across state lines, we ensure that individuals accused of serious crimes are located and taken into custody."
