With masks now 'optional' as of today across the state, North Texas restaurants may be forced to set their own rules on whether customers must mask-up before coming in the door.
Restaurant owners and employees know they're in a no-win situation, being caught between pro-mask and anti-mask opinions.
The Texas Restaurant Association is telling its members that no matter what rule you decide on, make it crystal clear to everyone by posting signs right at the door.
The TRA's Emily Williams-Knight says they've polled the membership and that three out of every four restaurants say they will continue to require the staff to wear masks even it it is optional for customers.
