To many, Super Bowl Sunday is the biggest football game of the year, but to so many others, it is the day with the best commercials.

Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Texas at Dallas, Dr. Ivan Li, says it is important for advertisers to keep their brand front and center while also trying to be creative.

"While humor is a big part of these ads, a lot of good advertising and a lot of these brands are aware that they need to make sure consumers remember what it is they are trying to advertise," Dr. Li said.

There are a number of creative examples to stick with for advertisers to end up with a very memorable commercial.

"What does drive success for these Super Bowl ads has been star-power," Dr. Li said. "You see a lot of celebrities in these commercials. Of course, animals, nostalgia is another big one."

It costs about $8-million to buy a 30-second ad during the Super Bowl. That holds steady from last year.
