The American Rodeo


The richest weekend in western sports returns for its 8th year when the finals of The American Rodeo go down at AT&T Stadium on Saturday and Sunday. In all, $2.3 million in prize money will be awarded. And if you want even more rodeo action, you can catch the semifinals on Thursday and Friday at Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth. You haven't seen rodeo till you've seen it in America's best stadium.

Arts Fifth Avenue's Valentine's Walk-by Gallery Exhibit

A new concept, an outdoor gallery in Fort Worth, Arts Fifth Avenue invites you to see their 2nd outdoor Valentine's walk-by gallery. With over 100 windows, they invited students, parents, friends, artists and neighbors to fill windows with art and words of LOVE! You can walk-by, dance-by, drive-by or cycle-by a one-of-a-kind gallery for the people. Grab your honey and make it a date night or an afternoon stroll in the Historic Fairmount District.

Dallas Arboretum's Dallas Blooms Event

Named by Southern Living as one of "The Best Places to See Stunning Spring Blooms Across the South," the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden presents Dallas Blooms, the largest annual floral festival in the Southwest. With the theme "America the Beautiful," the spring festival showcases an explosion of color from 100 varieties of spring bulbs and more than 500,000 spring-blooming blossoms, thousands of azaleas and hundreds of Japanese cherry trees. Each week, Dallas Blooms focuses on one of the six regions in the United States with food, music, flowers and activities. The festival includes special events, live music on the weekends and children's activities.

Dallas Stars - Single Game Tickets

The Stars are allowing a limited number of spectators at home games. So, throw on your green sweater, and enjoy the Western Conference champs in person. The Stars host the Blue Jackets on Thursday and Saturday, then bring in Nashville on Sunday.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden

The Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) and Fort Worth Botanic Garden invites visitors to see their newest exhibit "Topiaries in the Garden," running through June 30, 2021. Featuring 12 plant-based animal shapes, such as elephants, giraffes, and butterflies, the displays are sure to stimulate a sense of wonderment and fascination.

Frisco College Baseball Classic

Catch four great teams over four great days in Frisco, TX! Dallas Baptist, OU, Missouri, and Arizona square off at the beautiful Dr. Pepper Ballpark. There are two games each day. The weather should be solid. Spring is (unofficially) here, so soak in some hardball!

Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas Display at the Galleria

Throughout the month of March, Galleria Dallas shoppers will enjoy a historic retrospective of Girl Scouting from 1912 to the present. The engaging visual timeline, on Level 1 outside of Apple, will highlight the history of Girl Scouts as well as landmarks in the organization's history. The exhibit celebrates the ways in which scouting has been proactive for women and girls across the decades. As a part of the exhibit, guests can use a QR code to donate boxes of Girl Scout cookies to healthcare heroes at Children's Health. Fridays and Saturdays in March, teams of Girl Scouts will be offering curbside purchase and delivery of cookies from the circular drive along Galleria Dallas' Alley adjacent to The Blue Fish and facing Dallas North Tollway. The organization hopes the combination of donated cookie sales and direct curbside sales will help them rcoup over 100,000 boxes of lost sales to changes forced by the pandemic.

North Texas Irish Festival Virtual Event

They hope to be back live and in person at Fair Park in 2022, but this year the North Texas Irish Festival is going virtual! Special events will include 6 concurrent live streams of music, dancing, story-telling, cooking, dogs, horses and more. Plus, a live all-day broadcast of music and bands from Ireland. This is the 39th annual event. If you love Irish culture, don't miss it!

The Stockyards Championship Rodeo

Grab your boots and Cowboy hat! This rodeo is back! The live and kicking rodeo is every Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. (Friday...it's "Free Kid Friday"...buy an adult ticket and get a kid's ticket free!) It's in the Cowtown Coliseum. Rodeo organizers say you can feel safe as you watch the live rodeo action because they are enforcing social distancing and everyone has to wear a facial covering. Giddy up!

Sweet Tooth Hotel: Intangible

Intangible showcases some of the top fiber artists from around the United States, including several artists with local ties. USA BMX Super Nationals - DeSoto

BMX has been an Olympic Sport since 2008 and for three days, DeSoto becomes the epicenter of the entire BMX universe.  There are races all day - from little kids - to the pros.
