Three men are recovering from gunshot wounds in Arlington after an apparent gunbattle over the weekend.
Saturday night, Police reports say a bleeding man stumbled into a convenience store near North Collins and Lamar Ave. He said he'd been shot at a music studio a couple of blocks away. He said he'd been working on recording some music when two armed, masked men barged in. But he said he pulled his own pistol and that's when shots were traded.
At about the same time Arlington Police were informed about a stolen car leaving the music studio. Officers attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the driver sped off. Police chased him for about two miles until the car stopped on Green Oaks Boulevard near River Legacy Park.
Approaching the car, officers saw both the driver and his passenger had been shot. Both were taken to the hospital but both were also considered in police custody because investigators believe those two suspects, later identified as Kinton Jones and George Duncan, were the masked men at the recording studio.
Searching the car, officers found masks and guns, Police also say they found evidence of what's described as "high-risk drug activity."
