Thursday is the last day to register to vote in the May 7 elections in Texas.
The elections will be mainly for city council and school board positions.
Election Day is on a Saturday and the polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., but if voters are in line at 7 p.m. they will be permitted to vote no matter how long it takes.
Early voting begins Monday, April 25 and runs through Tuesday, May 3.
