Schools are starting two hours late in the Tolar school district because of storm damage in Hood County last night.
Thunderstorms rumbled through, taking down trees and power lines and causing damage to homes, the Tolar post office and to at least one school building.
The Tolar Volunteer Fire Department heard from electricity supplier Texas New Mexico Electric which says power may not be fully restored until some time Thursday.
Because of all this, Tolar school administrators say schools will start at 10 a.m. Buses will run on a two-hour delay.
