Drivers should expect delays on the west side of Downtown Dallas Monday afternoon due to a crash involving a truck that is hanging off a bridge, authorities say.
The crash happened Monday on the northbound side of Interstate 35E at Victory Avenue, according to the Dallas County Sheriff's Office. Photos posted to the DCSO Facebook showed a Sherwin-Williams truck wedged between a guard rail and an overpass.
The Sheriff's Office said the crash involved two vehicles. The other vehicle involved was a compact Kia. The driver of the Kia was taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Dallas Fire Rescue pulled the truck driver out by using ladders from the ground and from above to pull him to safety. His condition is still unknown.
Crews used a large crane and have managed to pull the box truck back onto the bridge after being stuck for hours.
The investigation into the crash continue.
