On Super Tuesday, Trinity Metro is inviting voters to come on board and keep their money.
One day after the Commissioners Court voted along party lines to deny funding for free Election Day rides, Trinity Metro has announced that it's offering them anyways a week from Tuesday.
This goes for buses, TEXRail, ZIPZONE, ACCESS Paratransit and Tarrant County's portion of the TRE, including the CentrePort Station.
"We are offering free rides to remove any transportation barrier that would prevent anyone in our community from voting," says Richard Andreski, Trinity Metro President and CEO. "The ability to vote is one of our core rights, so we want to do our part to help residents exercise that right."
To obtain a free ride, the passenger should simply notify the driver or train conductor that he or she is traveling to or from a polling place.
