President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit North Texas and southern Oklahoma on Thursday, with a midafternoon stop at a Denton truck plant and an evening campaign rally in Durant.

The White House press schedule lists a 3:05 p.m. site visit at Peterbilt Motors Company, 3200 Airport Road in Denton. Trump is then scheduled to leave Denton for Durant, where he is set to deliver remarks at 6 p.m. at the Choctaw Event Center, 3702 Choctaw Road. After the rally, the schedule has him returning through Dallas before flying back to Washington. Exact arrival times at DFW Airport and in Denton were not listed.

The Republican National Committee is billing the Durant stop as a midterm rally. Doors open at 2:30 p.m., and remarks are set for 6 p.m. Republican gubernatorial nominee Mike Mazzei is scheduled to appear with Trump. The event is ticketed, with a limit of four tickets per signup. The Choctaw Nation owns the hall. Tribal officials have said they are renting the space and are not sponsoring the event or endorsing a candidate. Chief Gary Batton has welcomed the visit as the third time a sitting president has come to the Choctaw Nation.

The Denton stop is meant to highlight manufacturing. The Dallas Morning News reported that White House spokeswoman Olivia Wales said Trump will use the trip to tout his economic agenda and argue that his trade policies are driving a manufacturing comeback in Texas. The White House has said Peterbilt’s parent company, Paccar, has been adding jobs and increasing U.S. truck production since tariffs on foreign-made trucks were imposed last year.

Thursday’s trip follows a busy stretch of presidential politics in the region. Trump headlined the Republican midterm convention in Dallas earlier this month and said there that he would return to Texas two or three times if needed to help the Republican nominee. Vice President JD Vance was in South Texas on Wednesday. The Nov. 3 election is a little more than a month away, with Attorney General Ken Paxton facing state Rep. James Talarico in the U.S. Senate race and Mazzei running for governor in Oklahoma.
