Two people have been captured in Ferris overnight, ending a long chase that bean in Royse City, nearly 50 miles away.
Overnight, around midnight, Royse City police caught two people stealing building materials from a construction site.
The two suspects took off with the stolen items still in the bed of their pick-up.
Somewhere on the way, the front tires were flattened, possibly by police spike strips, but the driver kept going on the rims with sparks flying.
Finally, in Ferris,the driver exited I-45 and the chase came to an end at the bottom of the off-ramp.
The two unidentified suspects were arrested on a string of charges and the pick-up was impounded.
