PLANO (1080 KRLD)- Two men are locked up in McKinney, charged with theft in a ring of stolen pick-ups. Police in Plano, Dallas and Grand Prairie have been tracking this for some time.
Endrys Gabriel Calderas-Vegas and Douglas Fernando Viana-Sanchez both remain jailed in the Collin County jail on theft charges and on immigration holds because the feds believe they are in the country illegally.

This car theft ring specializes in stealing GM pick-ups, relocating them to apartment complexes in other cities, altering VIN numbers and generating fraudulent titles for resale to unsuspecting buyers.
Identifying the pattern, Plano PD detectives worked with their counterparts from Grand Prairie and Dallas, locating two stolen trucks. Surveillance operations led to the arrest of Calderas-Vegas and Viana-Sanchez who are suspected of preparing the trucks for resale and switching license plates.
A subsequent search of their homes turned up a range of what detectives call "...incriminating evidence."
