Two North Texas students are on their way to the finals in this year's Scripps National Spelling Bee.
Vivinsha Veduru is an 11-year-old fifth-grader at Bear Creek Intermediate School in the Keller district while 12-year-old Dhroov Bharatia is a 7th grader at Wilson Middle School in the Plano district.
The finals will be Thursday night at the ESPN complex near Orlando.
Last year, the spelling bee was canceled because of Coronavirus fears - the first cancellation since World War II.
