It's a major milestone for a major road project in Arlington.
Val Lopez with TxDOT says the eight-year, $254 million Interstate 30 & Hwy 360 interchange project will move two steps closer to full completion tomorrow.
The ramps scheduled to open tomorrow are the flyover ramps from westbound I-30 to southbound 360, and from southbound 360 to eastbound I-30. That's weather permitting. The ramps still need to be striped and that might be delayed with rain expected later today.
The three ramps remaining are eastbound I-30 to northbound 360, northbound 360 to eastbound I-30, and northbound 360 to westbound I-30 - those should all be done by the end of the year.
The direct connectors all replace the original cloverleaf configuration put in in the 1950s, back when I-30 was a toll road.
