Dallas (1080 KRLD) -The University of Dallas is pausing in-person classes because of an increase in COVID-19 cases.

In a letter to the school President Jonathan Sanford, he says at least 25 students have tested positive for the virus since Monday. One student had to be taken to the ER.

President Sanford says while many students who are sick are isolating off campus, all of the on-campus beds designated for kids with COVID-19 are being used. If more kids on campus test positive, the school will have to figure out a different place off-campus where they can isolate themselves.

He says the goal is to resume in-person classes and activities on Monday, September 13th.
