Usually when people get sick, they want to make sure they have the best doctors possible at their disposal. Luckily for people in DFW, their best option in Texas is right here in the metroplex. A recent report named UT Southwestern Medical Center as the best hospital in Texas, jumping up from the number two spot on last year’s list.
U.S. News & World Report recently unveiled their 2023 rankings of Texas hospitals, and UT Southwestern Medical Center received the number one spot. While the DFW hospital was beat by Houston Methodist Hospital on last year’s list, the two hospitals tied for the top spot this year. “It is nationally ranked in 11 adult specialties and rated high performing in one adult specialty and 19 procedures and conditions,” the report said of UT Southwestern Medical Center.
According to Dallas Culture Map, the only other DFW hospitals to make the top 10 were Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and Baylor Scott and White All Saints Medical Center-Fort Worth. The rankings were based on scores in patient care, patient safety, outcomes, nursing, advanced technology, and reputation. Thanks to this list, North Texans now know the best place to go when feeling sick.
