There's anger after someone ran through candles and other items below the Vanessa Guillen mural.
The mural, just outside Fort Hood, is a place where people pay their respects to murdered Fort Hood soldier. LULAC district director Analuisa Tapia says it's decorated with candles, in the shape of a hearts which are lit in the evening, plus flowers and tokens such as dogtags. She says many are still in mourning Guillen's death. "And then for this to happen is ridiculous. I can't even put it into words."
In a video, a man can be seen approaching the memorial three times and kicking and scattering the intricate display.
It happened Thursday, the day after Specialist would have turned 21. Guillen was killed in April. In September, lawmakers introduced the "I Am Vanessa Guillen Bill", which aims to help military members report instances of sexual abuse or harassment without fear of retaliation
