'Vaxmobile' to provide vaccines across Tarrant County

In Tarrant County, a new mobile vaccination clinic could be coming to a neighborhood near you.

It's called the 'Vaxmobile', and it's being done through a partnership between Tarrant County Public Health and Trinity Metro. A specially-equipped Trinity Metro bus is setting up shop in various places for four hours, ready to administer vaccines, including boosters, to people who show up.

Tarrant County Public Health Director Vinny Taneja says the Vaxmobile will normally operate weekly on Thursdays.

And if the demand is there, Taneja says the schedule could expand.
