A candlelight vigil for Grand Prairie police officer Brandon Tsai is scheduled to be held Friday evening.

Officer Tsai was killed Monday night when his squad car crashed into a light pole while he was chasing a man driving a car with fake temporary tags.

On Thursday, Grand Prairie police announced the arrest of Colbie Hoffman, a man they believe was driving the car.

This week, in memory of officer Tsai, mourners have been placing flowers, cards and other mementoes on a squad car at Grand Prairie police headquarters.

Tonight, a candlelight vigil at that same location is due to begin at 6 p.m. It is open to the public.

Officer Tsai's memorial service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Gateway Church on North Carrier Parkway.
