A west Fort Worth home is pretty much a total loss from the fire that raced through Sunday.
Firefighters got 911 calls about a raging fire at a home on Wellesley Avenue about three blocks west of Lake Como Park. When crews pulled up, they learned people may be trapped.
Firefighters went inside to search but it turned out everyone got out okay.
Commanders say it was a tough fight, partly because of downed power lines and because of the winds that were gusting up to 25 miles-an-hour at the time.
It took nearly an hour to get the fire knocked down, although crews stayed on-site for hours to make sure the wind didn't cause any flare-ups. Investigators don't yet know what caused it.
