Ask the Expert: Why are Nursing home employee vaccination rates low?

Seniors in this country are the most vaccinated people around. The latest statistics show that more than 55 percent of seniors have at least one dose of the COVID vaccine.

But, the numbers are a lot lower for those people who actually work around senior citizens at assisted living centers or long term care facilities.

There are 15 states where fewer than half of nursing home workers are vaccinated against COVID.

On Ask the Expert, Brian Levy from Cambridge Caregivers joined KRLD's Kristin Diaz and David Rancken. He explains why the low numbers seem shocking, especially when they're characterizing people who work around the most vulnerable people.
