The housing market has stalled a bit around the country lately, thanks to higher mortgage rates and other factors. And as we head into the spring season, a lot of people are looking at the possibility of moving to a new home, and they're looking to sell their old houses.
Those houses are staying on the market longer than they used to in the last couple of years. Last month, the average home stayed on the market for 10 weeks.
There's one area that seems to buck that trend, and that's right here in north Texas. A new report from Texas Realtors says Dallas-Fort Worth has gone past Austin as the tightest market to buy a home in the state.
