A woman has been arrested in Haltom City after police say she caused quite a disturbance early Friday morning.
Haltom City Police spokesman Matt Spillane confirms with 1080 KRLD it all started with a traffic stop. Police say the woman was given a ticket and was upset enough that she drove straight to Haltom City police headquarters, went inside, and declared she had a bomb.
When police tried to detain her, she was able to get back in her car and led police on a chase that wound around and near some Haltom City schools.
Those schools' resource officers were notified and put the campuses in a secure mode.
But Spillane says the chase did not last long and the woman was quickly arrested.
Once it was determined there was no bomb, the schools returned to normal.
Police have yet to release the suspect's name and what she will be charged with.
