DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- A 29-year-old woman is behind bars after police say she hit and killed a man while driving drunk in Dallas.

The crash happened Sunday, around 12:30 a.m., at the intersection of W. Northwest Highway and Technology Blvd. Police say the man was standing under a crosswalk sign when he was hit.

"This is an ongoing investigation," says Officer Brian Martinez. "But the main point is: don't drink and drive. It's very unfortunate that we had to lose a life here."

At this point, police have not released the suspect's name, but they have confirmed that she's facing a charge of intoxication manslaughter.
