An Irving freeway has reopened this morning after being closed most of the night because a woman was struck by traffic on west-bound Highway 183 near the Highway 114 split.
Police reports say the unidentified woman was gravely injured but her condition has not been updated overnight.
The incident was about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and that very busy stretch of highway was closed for nearly eight hours for the clean-up and investigation.
Police have not said why the woman was on foot on the freeway.
