A woman is in the Tarrant County jail, accused of speeding away from both the Benbrook Police and then the Tarrant County Sheriff's department Wednesday afternoon.
At a little before 4:30 p.m., a Tarrant County sergeant noticed an apparently intoxicated 38-year-old Nikki Davis sitting in her SUV near Highway 183 and River Park Drive in Fort Worth with a shattered driver side window.
During the conversation, Davis sped away from the sergeant, and crashed her SUV a short time later near I-30 and University.
Davis went to the hospital with minor injuries, but was released.
She's now booked into the Tarrant County jail, charged with two counts of Evading Arrest and Driving While Intoxicated.
Benbrook Police say Davis sped away from them earlier in the day.
