Police say a woman has been arrested after a deadly stabbing in Fort Worth.

It happened Sunday around 7 p.m. at a house on South Henderson Street, in Fort Worth’s Fairmount district.
"Our officers showed up on scene and located an adult female victim who had apparent stab wounds," says Officer Buddy Calzada. "The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment, but she did not survive her injuries."
A suspect wasn't immediately arrested, but Calzada says homicide detectives were able to track one down overnight. 46-year-old Veronica Cables has been arrested in connection to the stabbing. She's in the Tarrant County Jail on a charge of murder.
The stabbing is still being investigated, but at this point police say it doesn’t look like a random robbery.
