It looks like a worker is going to be okay after getting stranded on top of a large water tower in Collin County Monday.

The 911 calls came in saying the man was stuck on top of the Copeville water tower next to the Community Methodist Church near Business 78 and FM 1778. He was apparently injured or ill and unable to get himself down.

The Wylie Fire Rescue high-angle rescue team was immediately called in with help from firefighters in Richardson, Princeton, Nevada, and Josephine.

Once they had him on the ground, the worker sat on the side of a gurney for a few moments, apparently catching his breath. Then the paramedics had him lay back and they loaded him aboard a Collin County EMS ambulance and then transferred to a medical helicopter for the trip to the hospital.
