It's a rite of passage every February the Texas Rangers pack up and make the trek from Arlington to Surprise, Arizona, for Spring Training.
Surprise is a growing city about 25 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix, and the community welcomes the Rangers with open arms every year.
"We always accommodate Rangers fans, players, staff, everybody," says Andy LiButti, co-owner of Booty's Wings, Burgers and Beer. "We've been open 11 years up there in Surprise, and they've been supporting us since day one."
Booty's has become the go-to place for the Rangers during Spring Training.
"The staff, the players, announcers, the general manager has been in for lunch," LiButti says. "It's just crazy how everybody associated with the Rangers, they know when they come to Surprise, they all stop in."
But this week, the Rangers are public enemy number one throughout the State of Arizona.
"We're torn," says LiButti. "Like, we want to root for the Diamondbacks, and we want to root for the Rangers. So I guess we're getting the best of both worlds when both of our favorite teams are in the World Series."
LiButti says it's as if he can't lose either way.
"We love our Diamondbacks. We're pretty surprised that they made it this far, we really weren't expecting it," says LiButti. "But for the Rangers guys and staff and everybody associated with the team, just to see them make it this far, it's really, really awesome. It really is."
As for who LiButti will ultimately be rooting for in the World Series -- well, there's no easy answer.
"I have ... my Rangers jersey, and I have my Diamondbacks jersey, and I don't know which one to wear," LiButti says. "I think if I wear my Rangers jersey, I'll get killed."
