Remains of a long-missing World War Two veteran will return to Hunt County on Friday night.

Quinlan native Frank Norris was a 23-year-old bomber pilot who was shot down over Romania in 1943. His remains were never identified. But seven years ago, the family submitted DNA and it matched bone fragments recovered at the crash site.

The remains are expected to arrive at DFW Airport tonight and will be carried in a procession along I-30 to Rockwall and then along Highway 276 to Quinlan where Norris will be laid to rest alongside his parents in a public ceremony on April 30th.
