The search concluded Friday for a missing Wylie woman who had been missing since Monday. Police say she has been located and is safe Friday evening.

Police say at approximately 5:15 p.m. Friday, Melonie Ballenger was located near Abby Ln and Tyler Trail by a resident. She was severely dehydrated but otherwise in good health and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Officers were called to a home on Parkwood Drive early Monday after Daniel Ballenger reported that his wife, 46-year-old Melonie, had not been seen since Sunday night at their home. According to investigators, Melonie Ballenger left home without taking a car or phone.

"We have not uncovered any evidence of foul play and we have no reason to suspect that Daniel Ballenger is involved in the disappearance of Melonie," Wylie police wrote in a statement. "Our investigation is ongoing and we will continue to follow up on the information gathered."

Wylie police conducted an extensive search of the area for several hours but did not locate Ballenger. On Thursday, a CLEAR Alert was issued.

Police urged neighbors to check their outdoor surveillance cameras for any footage of Ballenger between midnight and 6 a.m. on Monday. They assured her husband was not a suspect in her disappearance.
