A pair of British boys have been found guilty of executing a brutal and fatal attack on a teenager, using a machete as a murder weapon.
The boys, both just 12 years old, were unanimously found guilty of murdering 19-year-old Shawn Seesahai in November.
Seesahai had been walking through a Wolverhampton park when the two boys viciously assaulted him, according to prosecutors.
The assault was so violent that part of Seesahai’s skull broke off due to the blunt force trauma, and the machete wound that killed Seesahai was so deep that it nearly went all the way through his body.
“Shawn suffered traumatic injuries after being ruthlessly targeted by defendants who had a fixation with violence and were roaming the streets looking for a potential victim,” senior crown prosecutor Jonathan Roe said.
“This was a horrifying and random act of brutality, perpetrated by two 12-year-olds who should not have been spending their time arming themselves with a machete and preparing to take a life,” he continued.
The two now-convicted killers, whose names were withheld for legal reasons, had searched online for articles about killing people prior to the attack.
