Democratic voters who are not set on President Joe Biden are open to another nominee in 2024.

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows 63% of Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters say they would be willing to consider another candidate depending on the events leading up to the primary.

That being said, the survey shows Biden currently has 77% of the party's support in the Democratic primary race, followed by author Marianne Williamson with 8%.

Meantime, in the Republican primary race, the survey shows former President Donald Trump with 64% support among Republican and Republican-leaning voters, followed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with 15%.

The survey also found that among those planning to vote in the 2024 presidential primary, Biden and Trump are locked in a dead heat at 47% and 46%, respectively. Democrats support Biden 94% to 4% and Republicans support Trump 94% to 4%, while Independents are split, with 45% supporting Trump and 44% supporting Biden, the poll noted.

"Trump goes to war with the American legal system, while Biden wrestles with military conflicts on two fronts. Despite the swirling tumult, the partisan criticism, and rancor, the two candidates are still as tied as tied can be," Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy said in a statement.

In measuring motivation to vote in next year's presidential election, 48% say they're more motivated to vote than in past presidential elections, while 9% say they're less motivated, and 42% say they are just as motivated as usual, according to the survey.

Republicans show the most enthusiasm among party groups with 58% saying they feel more motivated to vote this time around, the survey shows, compared to Democrats (47%) and independents (45%).
