El Paso is at a breaking point as the influx of asylum-seeking migrants crossing the U.S. Southern border continues to rise, according to officials in the border town.
El Paso Deputy City Manager Mario D’Agostino and Mayor Oscar Leeser announced the opening of a new 400-bed shelter to keep down the numbers of those sleeping on the streets.
As the number of migrants continues to rise, buses continue to take migrants from El Paso to other cities, with five headed for New York, Chicago and Denver this weekend.
